I am an art psychotherapist with additional trainings in relational trauma therapy and applied Buddhist psychology. I am also a qualified clinical supervisor and a Trauma Sensitive Yoga facilitator (TCTSY-F). As a therapist with nearly two decades of experience I have worked with children and adults, within family services, hospices, acute mental health and inpatient services, in children's centres and more been in private practice for 14 years. I have also as, a socially engaged Buddhist practitioner, worked on overseas projects including in Delhi, Assam and Nepal and in Europe.
Art psychotherapy is a form of psychotherapy that facilitates personal discovery, healing and emotional health by combining art making, free association and therapeutic discussion. The “art” in art therapy is seen as a vehicle of expression, it offers a way of exploring inner experience & to gain a fuller understanding oneself.
As an art psychotherapist and trauma informed practitioner, I bring warmth, compassion & a deep respect for life to the therapy relationship. I very much believe in the uniqueness of each encounter & will metaphorically 'walk alongside' you, rather than offering or giving you 'treatment'.
