In my private practice, I typically work with individuals experiencing difficulties such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and trauma. I also work with individuals from minoritised ethnic backgrounds seeking support to better understand and manage difficult experiences. My clients are usually looking for a safe space to talk about current difficulties, to make sense of these in relation to past experiences and to develop new skills that help them to feel better equipped to cope and to live their lives in the way that they would like to. I am trained in a range of approaches which I draw upon depending on individual needs.
I am compassionate and collaborative in my approach, always demonstrating empathy and respect regardless of the content of discussion. I take time to listen to my clients in order to develop a shared understanding of current difficulties, to apply helpful strategies and ultimately to support them to achieve their goals.
The decision to talk to a therapist can be difficult and finding the right fit can be even harder. I hope to help with this process by offering a free 15 minute telephone consultation to talk about what you hope to gain from therapy and to answer any questions you may have regarding who I am and what I'm able to offer. I look forward to speaking with you.
