As a psychodynamic counsellor and hypnotherapist, my approach to working with clients is rooted in psychodynamic theory, which emphasises the exploration of unconscious processes and the influence of past experiences on a person's current thoughts, feelings, and actions. Here's a general outline of how I work with my clients: I shall meet with you, listen to you and together with you establish our therapeutic relationship.A safe and trusting working relationship. Once we have this we shall be ready to start exploring deep and often sensitive issues. I shall help you explore your unconscious thoughts, feelings, and conflicts.

I am a BPC accredited chartered clinical psychologist; ACP accredited senior child and adolescent psychotherapist; and IPA accredited adult psychoanalyst with 30 years of clinical experience. I lived and practiced in different cultures, have many years of NHS experience and continue teaching for many years in Birkbeck University psychology department.

With twenty years experience in the field, I offer highly skilled psychotherapy to individuals and groups in my private practice. I am also Lead Psychotherapist for a specialist NHS service in West London treating adults with severe, complex and enduring mental health problems. Within the NHS I manage and supervise other psychologists and psychotherapists as well as well as providing specialist consultation and treatment. In my private practice, I work with a wider range of people experiencing everything from mental and emotional distress to major life changes as well as those who are seeking to make more meaning in their lives.

I work with couples enabling and empowering them to experience renewed passion and connectivity. I also work with individuals using EFT empowering them to heal themselves. Couples may be searching for love and passion perhaps after empty nest, affairs emotional or physical. At the other end of the scale I help younger couples who are unsure whether to commit to a particular relationship and want guidance, and coaching. I offer tools and insights how to make marriage work better than the models they may have had. Age range of clients is from 18-80 to date.I am passionate about helping people live a rich and meaningful life.

The last few years have been difficult for many. I work with adults who are finding it hard to cope with the challenges life presents, perhaps, anxiety and stress, relationship issues, loss and bereavement, depression or sadness. I also work with people who are struggling in their work or career. I offer both individual and relationship counselling. I work with infants, toddlers, children, adolescents, and their parents. My expertise lies in parent-child relationships, anxiety in early childhood and adolescence, ASD and trauma. I believe that both the parent and the child are integral to the therapeutic process. Sometimes the parent will be present in the therapy room, and at other times, the child and the parent will attend separately. The medium of therapy with the child depends on their age; for younger children, therapy involves play and play-based activities, gradually transitioning to a more conversational approach as they grow older.
