As a Clinical Psychologist and EMDR therapist I have experience working with adults with a range of difficulties including anxiety, depression and low mood, trauma and low self-esteem. Everybody experiences psychological distress but sometimes this can get in the way of us living our lives. When this happens, talking therapy can help us to reflect on how we got to where we are and explore ways of moving forward. I can help you to identify goals for therapy, offer emotional support, increase understanding and acceptance of self and provide practical strategies to help you make long lasting, meaningful change in your life.
My therapeutic approach is integrative and draws on principles from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
During sessions I will create a safe space for you to reflect, build on your strengths and enhance skills for nurturing your own wellbeing. This will be done collaboratively, compassionately and at a pace you feel comfortable with. If you would like to arrange a session, please do get in touch.
