As a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Counselling Psychoogist, I specialise in couples therapy, EMDR and an integrative approach . If you are looking for an experienced therapist then I offer over 30 years of professional experience with 22 years in the NHS. I can help if you are a couple experiencing relationship breakdown, emotionally heightened interactions, or a particular problem impacting on your relationship. I provide EMDR to individuals with PTSD or longer term trauma, anxiety and loss. In addition, as a Clinical Neuropsychologist I can help with health or neurological conditions within the context of our therapy.
My work is underpinned by a psychological understandng and this determines the therapapeutic approach. While I mainly use Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples and EMDR for individuals, I will integrate other approaches as appropriate, such as Solution Focused Couples Therapy, CBT, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, or EMDR in our couples work.
My aim is to offer you the chance to explore your difficulites within a therapeutic context that is confidential, respectful, supportive and individualised to your needs. Therapy will be led by psychological knowledge, evidence and what works for you. We will work together to understand your difficulties and bring about the changes you are looking for.
