I am a fully qualified and experienced psychotherapist and counsellor, and I run my private practice from a comfortable and safe room in my home in Crowthorne, Berkshire. From my previous role as a rape and sexual abuse counsellor, I have considerable experience in working with clients who may have experienced trauma either in childhood or as an adult.
I offer a calm, safe and trusting environment where together we can explore your difficulties. I am warm and compassionate but also appropriately challenging when needed. I have an MSc in Humanistic Psychotherapy from The Metanoia Institute in Ealing. I hold a certificate in couples therapy and am also a qualified EMDR therapist.
I am experienced in working with clients who may use coping mechanisms such as alcohol abuse, eating disorders, self-harm, intimacy issues, feelings of shame, flashbacks & dissociation. Together we will work to explore how and why these coping mechanisms supported you at one time, and how you can now learn to replace them with healthier coping strategies.
