As a therapist, I have been described as calm, patient and intuitive. I have worked in a variety of mental health settings for a total of 11 years including the NHS and The Place 2 Be. Today I work in a private practice setting in Leeds. I draw techniques from the psychodynamic modality - exploring your past experiences and consciousness in a curious and objective way. Psychodynamic therapy, based on a trusting relationship, involves a deeper exploration of your unique process - including repeated patterns and unconscious thoughts.
Therapy can offer a space in which to process conscious and unconscious thoughts, develop self-reflectivity and learn to accept yourself as you are. Many people - including me - have found it helpful to explore life's struggles in a confidential space.
Counselling can be challenging, as you navigate parts of yourself that are normally kept hidden it may prove difficult to face these areas. I also hold a number of reduced fee daytime sessions.
