I have been working with adult individuals in South Wales since 2013. I do not hold any preconceptions and am genuinely interested to meet new clients, to find out more about them and what it is they want to change. I always ask what each person would like to achieve and I regularly re-visit this goal (or goals) to ensure that our counselling will be as helpful as possible. I believe that my clients have the ability to overcome their problems and I invite them to be as open with me as they choose in order to arrive at the best result for them.
In my work I use the Person Centred Approach and Solution-Focussed Brief Therapy. Both have a focus on client care and empowerment. I am happy to discuss any issues you would like to in our first session. Many of my clients have health problems. I also have experience in dealing with narcissistic abuse, Munchausen’s syndrome and Munchausen’s by Proxy.
I would be happy to hear from you if you have any questions, even if you are not sure whether you would like to take the step of having counselling right now. If you do decide to go ahead I would not put you under pressure to commit to any particular number or frequency of sessions - that would be up to you.
