I am a Psychotherapist, Supervisor, & Group Analyst with many years’ experience working as a Psychotherapist in mental health services in the NHS, and in drug rehabilitation services in West London. I was lead for the Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) Service in Somerset NHS Trust, before moving to Devon to take up work as a Psychotherapist in a Specialist Therapeutic Community within the Personality Disorder Service. I worked there for 10 years, and then as Professional Lead at The Haldon Specialist Eating Disorder Service. I will work with you to understand how I can be of help and together we will decide how to proceed.
My clinical experience and interests include personality disorders; complex trauma; dissociative processes; eating disorders; OCD; anxiety & depression. I work collaboratively, drawing on ideas from CAT, Relational Psychoanalysis, & Group Analysis. I offer short and long-term psychotherapy, training therapies, supervision & group analytic psychotherapy.
Having studied Philosophy as an undergraduate, I’m drawn to a philosophical and existential appreciation of the nature of our Being and how some of the ideas found there, connect with relational psychoanalytic approaches to our understanding of self, others, and the world. I teach on Exeter University’s D.Clin.Psychology: I was Chair of ACAT 2020 to 2023.
