Sometimes life can feel really challenging, and having someone to talk to can make a real difference. My counselling approach is rooted in a trauma-informed perspective, where trust, compassion, kindness, and non-judgment are at the heart of the work we do together.I believe that the therapeutic relationship is a key part of counselling, providing a safe and supportive foundation where you can explore your experiences and emotions at your own pace. I work integratively, blending humanistic, psychodynamic, relational, and compassion-focused approaches to create a therapeutic approach that works best for you.
I have worked in many different areas, including local organisations supporting survivors of rape and sexual abuse, colleges and schools, and the NHS. I also work with The Flying Child, where I facilitate creative writing groups for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse and provide trauma-awareness training in various professional settings.
We will work collaboratively to understand how life events have influenced your emotions, thoughts, body, and actions. Together, we can uncover ways to reconnect with yourself, navigate challenges, and move toward healing. Through empathy, compassion, and a shared understanding, we can create a space where it feels safe to express what needs to be shared.
