My practice is anti-racist, feminist, LGBTQ+ aware/inclusive. I support people of all gender identities, sexual orientations and relationship styles (GSRD). Before re-training, I worked in the music industry for twenty years at cult independent record labels Rough Trade and Warp. Therefore, as well as working with a wide range of people, I also provide specialist counselling to musicians/music industry workers as I understand the unique nature and distinct needs of the music community. My previous professional experience has proven helpful to clients involved in the wider creative communities too.
My integrative approach is principally relational and person-centred. In other words, it is my belief that the strength of our therapeutic relationship is the most important factor. I adapt my approach to meet each client’s individual needs by working pluralistically. We are all unique and complex beings, so collaboration and client preference is key.
