I work with couples, individuals, parents, step-parents and young people, offering you a space in which to explore current challenges and longer term patterns which may be obstructive to your wellbeing.
I can offer you the opportunity to gain some clarity as we work together to understand the origin of your difficulties. While you search for solutions, the experience of being heard, of hearing yourself (perhaps for the first time), and of having the freedom to deeply explore what has been causing you distress, will bring it's own answers, helping you to discover a way forward which is right for you.
I have worked in private practice for 10 years, and in NHS and agency settings, helping adults and adolescents to explore difficult emotions arising from events occurring in most peoples lives at some time. I have experience in working with young people with eating disorders and their parents, and step-parents facing the challenge of blended families.
I will offer you a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space in which you will be free to explore your difficulties in the knowledge that you will be listened to, understood, and genuinely heard. Your counselling will be at your pace, and can be either can be long or short term, depending on what you feel is right for you.
