About

My name is Janey I am a registered counsellor with The British Association of counsellors and psychotherapists . I am trained integratively, which means I can draw from several therapeutic approaches. This means that I can tailor the therapy to be very personal to the client I am working with. I have 25 yrs of experience of working with individuals and families struggling with their emotional health. If you are struggling to cope emotionally ,with your mood, thoughts ,relationships , life's stresses or have experienced abuse/ trauma recently or in the past and would like to work through these issues,I would be happy to help.
I have specialist training and experience in working with antenatal and post natal parents. I offer counselling for antenatal and post natal depression, birth trauma, bonding/attachment fertilty, and pregnancy loss. Deciding to conceive, expecting and having a baby can evoke many strong emotions from past experiences, delivery and coping with the transition.
I offer a professional, caring, calm, confidential and therapeutic space where clients can safely explore their issue without judgement. I am particularly influenced by person centred theory and agree with the belief that everyone has the capacity to heal , grow and are the expert in overcoming their difficulties in order to move on with their lives.
