An Integrative Therapist, trained in Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioural and Psychodynamic approaches to therapy. I am also undertaking an MA in Anthropology because my therapeutic approach centres on the idea that effective therapeutic collaboration considers the impact of evolutionary psychology, cultural, socioeconomical and linguistic influences. My aim is to facilitate a space for individual clients to talk and explore their problems and pain, but also heighten awareness and understanding about the blocks that are maintaining their difficulties. By making what is unconscious conscious we begin to create an effective way forward.
We will aim to formulate an individualised plan in which we consider a holistic approach that helps you connect to your self through heightened mind and body awareness. We will agree on how many sessions to meet (usually six to 24, depending on the duration and complexity) and help you work towards your set goals and values.
Fascinated by the existential questions of identity, freedom and responsibility, my work confirms the human need to reflect and interpret. My style is heavily influenced by a Humanistic and creative core, focusing on the safety of a non-judgemental and empathic relationship, awareness of how thoughts & emotions are linked & how the past impacts the present.
