I am an experienced counsellor of more than 17 years. I like to make clients feel at ease as I know that making the first step to counselling is a very difficult thing for some, especially if it's the first time. I deal with all sorts of issues but I have a lot of experience in grief and loss, bearing in mind that loss is not just about death. I also deal with depression,anxiety,self esteem. I am a qualified couples counsellor and clinical supervisor. I have experience in lots of other issues. I am an Integrative therapist and use person centred, solution focused , CBT and Mindfulness to help clients overcome their difficulties
I like to build a good relationship with the client where you feel at ease and safe. My method is mainly person-centred where the session is client led and I help you to find your own solutions. I use CBT methods and goal oriented methods if appropriate. I want clients to feel heard in a non-judgemental environment. My main aim is to help clients feel better
I used to be a teacher and worked in family care and for a local hospice for many years. I have a private practice and also work for a local charity that helps parents deal with loss of babies. My life experience informs my practice. My aim is to provide a safe space for you, the client to be able to explore your issues and find a different perspective.
