Thank you for taking a look at my page. You are probably here because you are struggling with something life has thrown at you. I hope I can help. It is important when embarking on a therapeutic journey that you feel comfortable working with your therapist of choice. I offer a free initial consultation so you can get a feel for how I work and if I am the right therapist for you. I work with individuals, couples and I run groups. I tend to start by working weekly but am flexible depending on your needs. Some clients are looking for long-term counselling, others might only need a few sessions.
I am an experienced psychotherapist and counsellor who has worked in private practice, for charitable organisations and in a residential facility for addiction and recovery. If I have to choose a speciality it would be working with adult survivors of childhood abuse and the many life-long difficulties abuse survivors struggle with.
Change is hard, but not impossible. We are all products of all of our experiences; good and bad. We develop most of our thinking habits and coping strategies in childhood. They were developed for good reason, but may be causing you problems now. Together we can explore yours and start your journey forwards lasting change.
