I am a psychotherapist & counsellor with a child/young person specialism and an adult psychotherapeutic counsellor. I was a primary school teacher for 24 years and have knowledge and understanding of the many complexities impacting young people, parents and those working with them. I have worked therapeutically with all ages. Whatever our age or stage in life, there are times when we encounter challenges or struggles. These can be confusing, cause anxiety or a feeling of being stuck. We can suffer from low self-esteem and need support in improving resilience, communication and relationships and gain an improved sense of wellbeing.
As an integrative psychotherapist and counsellor, I draw upon a variety of different models which allows me to work flexibly and creatively in ways that meets the needs of each unique individual. I work relationally in a client-led way where the therapeutic relationship between us is at the heart of our work together.
I can provide a safe and confidential space which is warm, empathic and non-judgemental. I offer a gentle and calm approach in supporting you to explore and manage feelings and make the changes you want in order to live your best life. I trained at Northern Guild, am a member of UKCP & BACP and offer short, medium and long term therapy.
