I understand it can be difficult to enter into therapy – you have made the first move by looking for a counsellor. I can offer you a safe, non-judgemental , and supportive space where you can explore any of the personal and emotional difficulties that are affecting you. I am a qualified counsellor with over 25 years NHS experience. I still work for the NHS alongside my private practice.I’m a registered member of the BACP and also a mentor for final year psychotherapy students in training.
I am also a Level 6 qualified counselling supervisor, supervising other qualified counsellors with their caseloads.
I use different forms of counselling according to clients needs, including psychodynamic ,person centred and CBT. I specialise in relationship issues and anxiety management ,trauma ,self-harm and OCD disorders,but see clients with a very varied range of issues. I also see teenagers for counselling and have completed specialist training in this .
I always feel very humbled and privileged when people choose me as their therapist. I am also a qualified nurse(RN) in addition to being a qualified therapist – this has enabled me to learn and utilise biofeedback techniques with my anxious clients when required:this is a clinically effective and evidence based treatment ,which can produce amazing results.
