I can help with a wide range of issues including feeling anxious, low or depressed, finding it difficult to cope, relationship and family issues, bereavement, being worried or confused about your sexuality or gender, dealing with the effects of sexual, mental or physical abuse, lack of confidence, low self esteem, panic attacks, managing anger or frustration, difficulties at school, work or college, obsessive compulsive disorder, the impact of trauma, coping with change, worries about drinking or drug use, self harm, resolving 'unfinished business’ and compulsive behaviours. I am a qualified supervisor and accredited by the BACP.
I specialise in addictions (alcohol, drugs, food, sex, gambling etc) trauma (including sexual and domestic abuse) and young people from 14. I have substantial experience of working in agencies dealing with drugs and alcohol, abuse, as therapist at a children’s home and specialist school and as a counsellor in a university. I am also a qualified supervisor.
I offer respectful, supportive, non-judgemental counselling for people of all races, religions, genders and sexualities. I make sure you feel safe and in control of the process and will help you to find a way forward which works for you. I have a good sense of humour which is very helpful in difficult times! Please note I have a 24 hr cancellation policy.
