I am a BACP Registered counsellor, who works an integrative manner which means I can adapt how I work to meet your needs. That may be Person Centered Therapy Psychodynamic Therapy or CBT. I offer face to face counselling sessions, however I also offer telephone and Video conference counselling, if this is your preference. I provide both short and long term counselling and believe that the therapeutic relationship between the counsellor and the client is of upmost importance. The therapeutic relationship is based on trust and confidentiality and I aim to provide a safe and warm environment in which you can explore your thoughts.
I have experience of working with a variety of issues including bereavement and loss, anxiety and depression, relationship issues, low self esteem/confidence and stress related issues. I have worked with a wide range of client ages from young adults to adults of all ages.
I understand that there are times in our lives when we have emotional difficulties that we are unsure how to overcome. Sometimes it can help to talk to a counsellor about your concerns, to help you explore more challenging thoughts or feelings you may have and to have support to find your own way forward that provides the best possible outcome for you.
