What if all of these symptoms and problems we experience are pointing to something more? Maybe there aren't any obvious symptoms that you can put your finger on.... maybe it's just a vague dissatisfaction with life, with how things are for you? Maybe there's a sense of feeling inhibited or restrained, or not quite able to be yourself? Or maybe life has thrown you some curveballs, or there has been a big loss or shift in your life that brings you to therapy? I hold the view that these symptoms and issues though painful, may actually be healthy signs that may be pointing us towards change, towards our growth.
How do we really heal from trauma and our historical wounds? Unfortunately there isn't a magic pill... if there were we would probably all be addicted to it. What I believe works best is raising our consciousness; our awareness of what drives us and connecting to ourselves authentically, really expressing who we are.
Re-connecting to who you are most essentially, is the start of a psycho-spiritual journey. Whilst I am trained in dealing with trauma and wounding, I also hold the context that we are on on a journey of awakening towards Self- realisation. In that sense, though we feel the acute pain of what happens in our lives, we may also find a gift within our wounding
