Often life seems to keep throwing us challenges, situations that we don't want or like. Situations that are painful and even shameful. We might look at this, 'zoomed in' and try to manage or firefight, which can work in the short term. But there is another way if we zoom out a little and hold both views. What is the lesson I need to learn from this situation? What work might I need to do on myself to finally move forward? What gift might this painful situation have to offer?
I work with trauma, pain, anxiety, depression and all manner of difficulties that people face. I also work with hope and the belief that we all have something beautiful to offer the world and yet maybe our history, our wounds both conscious and not yet conscious, get in the way. You don't have to be defined by your history or other people's expectations.
I hold a spiritual context. By that I mean I look at life as a journey of becoming who we are, the true 'you.' It takes courage, and there's no quick fix. It means looking at our shadow and what is in the way of you expressing who you are. It's not easy work. As with life, it is an adventure, a heroes journey in order to come home to yourself.
