Hello, I'm Jade. I'm a UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapists) Therapist in Training. I offer a warm space where we can explore, together, your reasons for accessing Psychotherapy. I like to think about the benefits of Psychotherapy a little bit like building a house extension, but needing to lay a foundation first. Our original foundation might need some stronger materials or extra scaffolding. Psychotherapy can help to provide that scaffolding, through processing your feelings in a supportive environment. This allows for an exploration of who you are so that you can build your extension, with materials that you choose.
I work from a Relational, Integrative perspective. This means that I combine different approaches to understand how our previous experiences might impact on our current relationships, which I believe gives us clues to how we are in the world. Our relationship as client and therapist can help some difficulties have less power in your here-and-now life.
Your whole self is welcome in our space together. Whether you are feeling anxious, jealous, oppositional, confused, curious - no part of you, is unwelcome here. Through therapy, I will be open to meeting all you want to bring. For some, this can feel uncomfortable, showing feelings that might not have previously been welcome. This is different for everyone.
