About
Everyone is as unique and as individual as the issues, needs and goals that they present with in therapy. My various client's presenting difficulties are often diverse, ranging from those with mild anxiety and low mood - perhaps needing some clarity or direction in life - or maybe just needing to talk things through; to those with heightened symptoms of trauma, depression, distress and generally finding life extremely difficult to manage. The spectrum of emotional wellbeing and mental health is as vast as the various triggers and reasons as to why people initially come to therapy. Coping alone can feel extremely overwhelming.
As an Integrative Counsellor I will adapt my therapeutic model to suit the uniqueness of each of my individual client's needs. I have 20 years post graduate experience working in mental health for the NHS, Local Authority and numerous charities. I have trained in many different therapeutic models and am also a qualified Lecturer, subject: Counselling.
I aim to create an equal partnership within an open and honest therapeutic relationship. We work together in establishing goals, finding a therapeutic approach that will suit your individual needs. I aim to support you when lost or confused; to offer psychoeducation to help gain understanding and clarity; help you gain/regain confidence and control.
