I will work collaboratively and compassionately with you to help you make sense of your individual situation and difficulties and using specialised psychological therapy to help you make positive change. I can help if you need to move away from unhelpful patterns of thinking or behaviour, want to deal more effectively with distressing emotions, or need to resolve past stressful or traumatic life experiences that continue to effect your life in the present. It is important to me to provide a non-judgemental space where people feel understood and empowered to move life forward in the direction they would like it to go.
I draw on a variety of psychological approaches, but work primarily with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing the(EMDR). I work as part of Bath ACT & Psychology Service and more information about me and these approaches can be found on the website https://bathactandpsychology.wordpress.com
If you are unsure, would like to find out more or have any questions I am happy to offer a no cost pre-appointment call to discuss things with you. It is important that you feel I am someone you can work with so a phone call provides an opportunity for us to begin to get to know each other and to discuss how we might work together.
