My name is Jack, I am a Psychological Therapist specialising in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and EMDR. If you are finding life challenging and keep experiencing repeating patterns, you are not alone. CBT and ACT are a powerful combination of therapies, offering you a framework to understand your story, and to break free from any unhelpful patterns holding you back in life. EMDR can help you to find and process any relevant memories, no matter how traumatic they might feel. Please feel free to check out my website or send me a message and I will get back to you ASAP.
Why ACT? ACT is the most lifechanging therapy I have encountered, both personally and professionally. It helps us to understand human learning processes, and also provides strategies for how to become psychologically flexible. ACT can help us come to terms with the way life has shaped our minds, and trains us to behave more in line with a life we value.
I combine an ACT approach with a grounding in established CBT models for depression and anxiety disorders, including OCD, health anxiety, body dysmorphia, phobias, GAD and PTSD. I also specialise in helping clients adjust to autism or ADHD, to process big life changes or loss, to develop lifechanging insights or to work on coping with long standing beliefs.
