I have worked with a variety of adult mental health problems for 19 years, for the past 11 years as Consultant Clinical Psychologist. I am experienced in offering both brief and longer-term psychological therapies, and I am trained in understanding complex problems from a number of psychological perspectives. I believe it is important to be both informed by evidence-based practice and also offer support that is tailored to an individual’s unique needs. This is especially important if you are experiencing a number of difficulties and need a personalised formulation of those difficulties to guide the selection of therapy approaches.
I work in collaboration with clients to ensure we adopt approaches which will address areas of distress and difficulties. I will offer services which respect you as a person, recognises we all have difficulties, and that there is no shame in developing difficulties that are typically entirely understandable.
