I have worked as a counsellor for the past 20 years, since my first training with Relate in 2004. In 2025 I completed my Person-Centred counselling course at Warwick University, gaining a first class honours degree in Counselling and the Therapeutic Relationship.
I am now a BACP certified counsellor with a special interest in working with university students who are facing acute mental health challenges.
A place at University: the fulfilment of a dream, hard work rewarded! But then the pressure can start to build up… can I make the grade? will I fit in?
I have spent many years helping university students who have found themselves in crisis, whether this manifests itself in anxiety, depression or full-blown psychosis.. It is rarely a simplistic approach of “getting back on track“. Every crisis has a meaning. To co-explore a narrative, to help a young person re-author their own future, is deeply rewarding.
Do get in touch to discuss how sessions might help you. By training and practice I am first and foremost a person centred counsellor. This means you are assured of respect and compassion, and a nonjudgemental attitude to the issues you bring. I know how tough being at University can be! Please use the 15 minute trial session to make your own decision.
