About
You may be considering psychotherapy because you have a specific concern or are experiencing ‘symptoms’ that you want to address. You may be experiencing anxiety, depression, or a general sense of unease and feel life is meaningless or joyless. Perhaps you are facing some significant change in your life and unsure what to do. Or maybe you are feeling stuck finding yourself in the same place, repeating the same patterns, despite your efforts to change things. Or perhaps you want to get to know yourself more deeply and experience life more fully.
I am an experienced psychotherapist working with people from diverse backgrounds who come to see me for various reasons. I offer a safe therapeutic relationship that seeks to understand you as a unique person. Within this therapeutic relationship, we can explore and begin to understand why you may feel the way you are, why things don’t seem to be working.
I usually see people for an initial consultation which allows us to explore your reasons for coming into therapy and what you want to get out of it. It also allows us to see if we can work together. It is often helpful to have a brief telephone conversation before the initial consultation.
