I am an integrative counsellor based in Birstall, Leicester. I'm a registered member of the BACP and the National Counselling Society. I provide a safe, comfortable, confidential, non-judgemental place for you to talk, share your concerns and to be listened to. When we have an issue in our lives, which is preventing us from being happy, it can be hard to work through this on our own. I use a person-centred approach to enable you to explore your thoughts and concerns at your pace, in a way that suits you. I can integrate a range of approaches depending on your needs and desired outcomes including CBT, solution focused, psychodynamic.
I have experience of working therapeutically with young people and adults on a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, bereavement, trauma, abuse, relationships, family issues, self-esteem, eating disorders and stress. Through counselling you will begin to understand what is keeping you 'stuck' and how to move onto a happier existence.
The most important aspect of any therapy is the relationship between client and therapist; it is important to develop an authentic, trusting relationship. For that reason, it is important for us to meet before you commit to any short or long term therapy, so you can see whether you feel I am the right person to support you to live the life you want to live.
