I can help you to discuss areas of uncertainty and frustration in a warm, supportive and non-judgmental atmosphere. Some people prefer to talk mainly about difficulties in the present. Others welcome the opportunity to look back to earlier times and understand where emotions like anger, sadness and self-doubt first came from. This can make these problems much easier to deal with in the present.
I was a medical consultant in the NHS for many years, which gave me broad experience in helping people through difficult times, and supporting both physical and mental health. More recently I changed to counselling and psychotherapy and completed an MSc, as well as specialist training in helping people re-evaluate their lives and overcome feelings of despair
I offer a friendly and relaxed approach, giving us time to get to know each other and for me to listen carefully to everything you would like to say.
