I work with whoever comes to me but also have special interest in the following groups: Women who may have a nagging feeling that life could be more beautiful. They may feel trapped by past choices or have experienced a wake-up call or final straw such as a bereavement, relationship difficulties, or peri-menopause or menopause difficulties. Teenagers who feel overwhelmed with life. Trainee counsellors who may be looking forward to therapy, or perhaps feel nervous about what the training is bringing up. I also work with groups teaching Creative Journalling for Wellbeing in order for them to develop their own unique practice for life.
Whatever your problems and background, I aim to provide you with support and encouragement to face your feelings and find resources and hope for the future. I respect the courage it takes to come to therapy and will support you to live your life with a greater sense of authenticity and balance, and to help you find choices that feel right for you.
I was till recently Head of Philosophy, Theology and Ethics at a local school, and I enjoy finding my own well-being through writing, mindful photography, music and following my creative intuition. I have three grown up children in their 20s and 30s, and I have two rescue dogs. I very much look forward to meeting you for an initial meeting.
