You may be feeling low, anxious or overwhelmed, struggling with your emotions, overthinking or self-criticism, or finding that difficult past experiences or relationships continue to affect you. You may recognise patterns in your life but struggle to step out of them. Perhaps you spend a lot of time looking after others while finding it much harder to care for yourself. You might also be navigating pregnancy, becoming a parent, or another significant life change. Therapy can offer a space to feel heard and supported, to understand what is happening, where these patterns have come from, and how you would like things to be different.
I am a HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist offering individually tailored therapy, with a particular interest in compassion-focused approaches. I can help you to understand your difficulties in the context of your experiences, relationships and how our minds and emotions work, developing greater self-compassion and tools to navigate life's challenges.
Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, particularly if you are used to managing things alone or putting other people's needs before your own. You don't need to have everything worked out before getting in touch. We can begin by talking about what has brought you here, what you would like help with, and if working together feels right for you.

I work with people struggling with anxiety, low mood, trauma and complex PTSD, and difficulties during pregnancy or parenthood. We will begin by exploring what is happening for you and developing a shared understanding of how your difficulties may have developed and what may be keeping them going. We can then use this understanding to guide therapy and work towards changes that matter to you.

We will begin by exploring what has brought you to therapy, your experiences and what you hope will change. Together we will develop a shared understanding of how your difficulties developed and what may be keeping them going. This will guide a therapy plan tailored to you, drawing on CFT, CBT and ACT. We will review our work together and build on what you can take forward beyond therapy.
