Hello, I’m Helen, a psychotherapist with a specialism in antenatal and postnatal mental health. Since 2022, I've helped establish maternal mental health services in Oxfordshire. A core part of my work has been supporting women and birthing people affected by birth trauma, pregnancy loss, fear of childbirth, and other difficulties related to parenthood. I care deeply about advocating for women and families and it's this commitment that's drawn me to specialise in perinatal mental health.
I have over fifteen years of experience working in NHS mental health services. I'm an accredited CBT therapist and trained to deliver EMDR. Both therapies are highly effective at treating a range of mental health difficulties and supported by NICE guidelines.
