The decision to attend counselling can be difficult and sometimes overwhelming. It is the quality of the 'therapeutic relationship' that is key to progress, so that you feel supported and comfortable to talk about what matters to you. I believe passionately in the counselling process, and for me the promotion of positive mental health and well-being is at the core of our work together. (Please do take a look at my website heretolisten.uk for further information about my practice and how I work, as well as some examples of client reviews.)
I aim to provide you with a safe, caring, confidential space so that together we can explore your innermost thoughts and feelings openly and honestly, at your own pace. I will work alongside you to help you to achieve personal growth, so that you can become the best version of yourself, gain more control of your life, and move towards self-acceptance.
I am here to listen attentively with empathy enabling you to feel heard and validated. I will reflect back what I hear, without judgement or discrimination. I will treat you with respect, always putting your needs at the heart of our work. I consider my role to be a humbling experience, and a real privilege to play a small part in someone's unique journey.
