I am currently on Maternity Leave until December 2025/January 2026.
You deserve to be heard. I offer a calming, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgement. Through empathising and hearing your experiences with curiosity and compassion, I aim to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself allowing you to make positive changes and move forwards. I work at developing a safe, trusting and genuine therapeutic relationship with all my clients. I work with people on a range of issues, including depression, low self-esteem, anxiety, relationship difficulties, and past abuse.
I integrate mainly person-centred and psychodynamic approaches - essentially this means I work with you to help you make sense of things that are happening in your life currently, and also work with you on a deeper level, exploring your past experiences and how that may be unconsciously influencing you now. I will work at your pace, and to your own goals.
Opening up to someone can feel very daunting and so it is so important you do this with someone who makes you feel comfortable and safe. The quality of the relationship between you and your counsellor is the most important thing for achieving a good therapy outcome - so I offer a free initial phone call for you to get a sense of what I'm like.
