Ric Wilton MSc: I compassionately support adults, teenagers, and children (7+) who have faced challenging experiences, including bullying, rejection, abandonment, ridicule, emotional, physical, or sexual abuse, cruelty, or neglect. I also work with those who may not see their experiences as 'big traumas' but still feel the weight of unresolved pain from childhood or later in life. Such difficulties can heighten anxiety, damage self-worth (embedded shame), leading to withdrawal, isolation, and deeply internalised negative beliefs such as feeling 'unsafe, unwanted and unlovable'. I help clients reclaim safety, self-worth, and freedom.
I am experienced in navigating sensitive areas such as PTSD, self-harm, suicidal ideation, dissociation, pornography use and all kinds of maladaptive coping responses. I offer face to face and online options for counselling and EMDR. Based in Ballymena, NI and accepting clients across the UK, Ireland and Internationally.
I am a Christian, married and have two teen sons and a 'young adult' daughter. We also have an 'always hungry' retriever and a 'super-sensitive' spaniel! I work with those of all faiths and none.
