About
I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist who enjoys working with children, teenagers and adults. In my work and training I have developed specialist skills to help people who have experienced traumatic life events, and those who are adjusting to and managing physical health conditions and complex situations. I am committed to helping people manage difficulties associated with PTSD, complex psychological trauma and the difficult emotions that arise when living with a health condition. I currently lead the Paediatric Psychology Service at a District NHS Hospital.
I completed my Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2011 and have worked within the NHS since 2005. The therapies I draw upon include Narrative approaches, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Initially I aim to get to know you and establish the factors that may be leading to and maintaining the difficulties you have been experiencing. Please email me to arrange a free initial telephone consultation to help us decide how I might be able to help. I offer appointments on Mondays, either in St Albans or online.
