I am a qualified, BACP registered, Psychodynamic Psychotherapist in private practice in Leamington Spa. Taking the first steps into therapy can feel daunting - particularly at a time when you might be struggling to make sense of difficult thoughts and feelings and perhaps wondering why you repeat unhealthy patterns. So it’s important to take the time to find a therapist who feels right for you and with whom you can build a relationship of trust. As a psychodynamic practitioner I’m interested in how your past relationships and experiences connect with and shape how you relate to yourself and others in the present.
Gaining an insight into how our past may have shaped us helps us better understand our ‘inner world’ by considering the deep-seated patterns by which we – often unconsciously – live our lives, even when we’re aware that the patterns might be causing us difficulties.
Working in a non-judgmental way my role is to help you make sense of how you function psychologically. With greater self-awareness comes the hope of emotionally healthier ways of being and relating.
