I am a warm and passionate Clinical Psychologist with experience of practicing and training in a range of evidence based approaches, including: Psycho-dynamic therapy (exploring past and present interpersonal relationship patterns and impact on current difficulties), CBT, Compassionate Focused Therapy, Mentalisation Based Therapy and EMDR. As an integrative practitioner, I am able offer a flexible and responsive approach to your individual needs. I believe in the importance of providing a therapeutic space, that enables clients to explore their inner world safely and confidentially, acknowledging that it can be hard to seek help.
I have over 13 yrs experience working within the NHS, HE and Private Practice settings. I specialise in working with adults with a range of presenting problems. I initially complete a psychological assessment which informs key areas for therapeutic intervention. This enables you to explore and define principle areas of concern that you would like help with.
I offer a non judgmental approach based on the principal of acceptance and respect. I believe we each have personalities and life experiences that make us uniquely and wonderfully who we are. I encourage people to see their inner wisdom and qualities in what can seem like hopeless circumstances. I believe there is always hope and change is possible.
