Hello, my name is Hayat. I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). I understand that thinking about and starting therapy can be an overwhelming experience for anyone. I aim to offer an experience of therapy that is non-judgmental, compassionate, safe, and accepting. I hope that this will enable you to feel safe to process your feelings, thoughts and experiences in a way that can be freeing.
I work using an integrative approach and I can offer therapy for a wide range of difficulties. I work by tailoring the therapy to honour the unique needs of each client. I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches such as Narrative, Person-Centred, Compassion Focused, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing.
In addition, I specialise in Trauma-Focused therapies. I have experience with working with a diverse range of communities and groups and I prioritise offering therapy that is culturally sensitive.
