I offer psychoanalytic psychotherapy to adults suffering with their mental health. Psychotherapy is a way of relating to each other, patient to therapist, where patterns of thinking can be identified and thought about in a safe and confidential environment. You may need help with a more recent set of circumstances, a loss, stress or pressure, depression or anxiety. You may feel it is now time to put words to and perhaps come to terms with a much earlier experience or traumatic period that seems to have had long term effects. You might have no idea why you feel the way you do. Psychotherapy may offer some relief.
I have 10 years experience working with over 18s as an honorary psychotherapist within the NHS and in a London psychotherapy unit and am in my 9th year of training as a psychoanalyst. I help my patients to disentangle their thoughts and experiences and to shed light on relationship troubles or their own internal conflicts, to be able to move forward.
I work with adult patients in a safe and confidential consulting room in St. Albans, offering face to face sessions once or more a week. This is a space you can use to talk about anything, without judgement. I encourage an initial meeting to determine how we might work together.
