A quote that I often find myself coming back to is ‘shame dies when stories are told in safe places’. Every one of us has our own unique story and I have been privileged enough to spend 10 years working in the NHS listening to the stories of individuals of all ages and backgrounds. The essence of the therapy I offer is to create that safe place for your story to be told so that, together, we are able to make sense of how you have come to reach where you are in your life and what might be getting in the way of you moving past the difficulties you are facing.
I am trained to offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Systemic Family Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and attachment focused work which, I apply in an integrative way depending on your needs. I have training and experience working across all ages with additional specialist training in working with children and young people and their families.
It is important that we build a trusting relationship where you feel you are able to share your experiences including your experience of the therapy so we will regularly talk about how things are going and what you are finding helpful/not so helpful. Do give me a call or email so we can explore whether this might be the kind of support you are looking for.
