I believe that mental health difficulties are meaningful and understandable reactions to painful life events and situations, and so these are best treated with compassion, curiosity and respect. In this way, we may not only overcome problems, but gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and our values, leading to a more balanced, fulfilling and enjoyable life. With a warm, caring approach to creating safe and reflective relationships, I can offer brief, focused therapy to build coping skills and overcome specific problems, or more in-depth work to build insight and release ingrained ways of being.
With over fifteen years’ working in mental health and a Doctoral-level qualification, I am experienced in drawing upon multiple evidence-based approaches to provide bespoke assessment, therapy, training, consultation and supervision. Before private practice, I worked as a Senior Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Lead in the NHS.
I understand that beginning therapy can feel nerve-wracking and exposing. Together, and at your pace, we can explore your experiences in a supportive, non-judgemental way to make sense of the problems you have struggled with. I would be happy to talk through your hopes for therapy, and any questions you may have, in a free 20-minute telephone consultation.
