I am a qualified person centred counsellor, CBT therapist and counselling supervisor. I have in-depth experience working with: children 10+, teens and adults within various charities (Action on Addiction, British Lung Foundation, Anxiety UK, Place 2 Be, RASA (Rape Centre), Sahir House (HIV & LGBTQIA+) and the NHS.
I currently work with issues from anxiety and low mood to DV, gender and transgender mental health, sexual trauma, ptsd , self-harm, low self-esteem. I work with individuals in a safe, confidential, supportive and empathetic space.
Previous counselling settings include at a hospice, homeless refuge and at a youth centre. I have also fostered children. I have a wide ranging experience of people of all backgrounds and walks of life including assylum seekers.
I have an interest in the LGBTQIA+ and neuro-diverse community - adults and 10+ young people's mental health.
Based either on line or at Heswall Hills, CH60 on a Saturday morning or various evenings. Sessions last for up to 50 minutes. At the 1st session is a case history is taken and goals explored. Appointments are weekly initially. An initial 15 minute telephone discussion can be arranged.
