I work with families, couples and individuals. Specialising in relationships, anger, self-esteem issues, addictions and emotional difficulties, I help you have a better relationship with others as well as yourself. I work with you to explore and understand your struggles, repeating patterns and find ways to change them or adapt them to make them helpful. Couples tend to argue in a cyclic nature without ever resolving their arguments. I work with couples to understand this cycle and how to exit it. Individuals can also get stuck in repeating patterns. Examining them, understanding them and working through them brings change.
I meet you as a person. My style is integrative which basically means that I work in different styles, and how I work with you will be dictated by your needs, what you bring to the sessions and any preferences you might have. You meet me as a person and our working style is conversational.
I am passionate about my work. I was a Business and IT Consultant before retraining to become a counsellor over 10 years ago. So it is a career I chose. Or more that through life choices it chose me. I partner with you in the journey we undertake to work through your struggles, and I consider being a part of that a privilege.
