Art therapy has enabled me to process my own past, it has given me the empathy and determination to help others to see more clearly what is going on for them. As well as one-to-one work with both adults and young people at my practice in Barnsley I work with adolescents (aged 12-25), in schools across South Yorkshire. Helping people to process issues such as anxiety, stress, identity, life changes, grief, low mood and bereavement.
I have experience working with adult carers, and clients experiencing life changes, anxiety, grief and stressful life challenges. University students with SPLD and ASD, clients with physical disabilities and young people from the LGBTQIA community. I also offer one-to-one and group therapy sessions in schools, colleges and university settings.
As someone who has, at times, experienced anxiety, low mood, traumatic life events and coming to terms with disability and life changes, I feel inspired to help others. I have a passion for art therapy and strongly believe everyone can learn to process issues and communicate and express feelings through creative means.
