I see clients in person and online. My consulting room is behind a cosy bookshop. I offer a free initial consultation. I work with other individuals and groups to offer wrap around support and can signpost into activities to support clients ongoing growth and development. For clients with addiction, I will begin therapy when they are still using but are stable enough to engage. I offer individual and group sessions. Once in therapy I provide treatment in blocks of six sessions, whereupon we will re-evaluate goals and plan for further engagement. I work very closely with my clients to achieve lasting beneficial change.
I have worked as a midwife since 1993 and in addiction services since 2010. I have delivered counselling to women in pregnancy and postnatal and clients who are addicted to alcohol and substances. I understand the importance of co-working with families and drug and alcohol services and primary care to help my clients to achieve lasting and beneficial change.
I understand that clients approach counselling for a diverse range of reasons each person is entirely unique and our success is based on unconditional positive regard, time to talk in a safe and accepting space and the opportunity to explore different ways of being. I will use my skills, experience and training to help clients to realise their best life.
