I am an integrative therapist and draw from the psychodynamic and humanistic approaches to psychotherapy. I consider the therapeutic relationship central to the process and place the unique experience of each person at the centre of the therapeutic process. Together, we will embark on a journey to explore and understand what may be causing the present difficulty and any associated patterns of behaviour that may contribute to the present unhappiness and work out together what might facilitate change.
I have a special interest in early relational trauma and the resulting consequences of this in later life. I believe that our way of relating to ourselves and others begins very early in our life and can set the pattern for how we negotiate relationships and situations in the present. Understanding and working through old patterns can facilitate change.
As an Integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, I provide a flexible, compassionate approach which offers support tailored specifically to the problems or difficulties you are facing.
