Welcome to my personal statement. I am an experienced Psychotherapist and Counsellor, with over 30 years involvement in the personal development field. I bring the breadth and depth of my life experience, and aim to work in collaboration with you to explore the challenges and joys that you face in your life.
When appropriate I can offer to work creatively through visual means, metaphor or exploration of roles or aspects of self. As well as individual one to one sessions I offer group therapy, where creative action methods and psychodrama play a significant role.
Psychotherapy works by tapping into your innate wisdom and self knowledge, through a process of enquiry and reflective exploration. The initial session will be information gathering to identify the areas you would like to explore. Building a trusting relationship with your therapist is key to any effective therapy.

Groups
Weekly Group

There can be a great benefit to sharing difficult and painful life experiences with others. The feeling of being heard in therapy can be liberating, empowering and lead to feeling less isolated. The group experience enables this to take place in a wider context than individual therapy can offer. A group offers an opportunity to embark on a shared journey, enhance awareness, learn more about how you relate to others and a way to experiment with being and behaving differently. The group will draw on gestalt therapy, psychodrama and mindfulness practice, and use creative methods to stimulate self awareness.
