I am an experienced UKCP registered psychotherapist, working with personal issues such anxiety, depression, bereavement and relationship difficulties. I have experience of working with acute mental health difficulties in the NHS. I work with adults of all ages who might be struggling with life changing events, or long term conditions. I also work with couples who are struggling with their relationship and individuals who may be subjected to coercive control. I am an AXA Healthcare registered practitioner.
I see self-awareness as key in developing emotional wellbeing. I offer a non-judgemental space where we will work together, pausing and reflecting to discover and understand more deeply your historical patterns, and how they might be influencing your everyday life. My approach is flexible, integrating psychodynamic thinking with transactional analysis.
I believe the relationship between therapist and client to be very important, in our initial session we will discuss what has brought you to counselling and decide if we feel able to work together in exploring your difficulties.
